Which one speaks to you?
I have to remind myself in those tense moments to put to use all that I have learned from books, therapy, others’ wisdom, etc etc…..
I can’t remember where I heard it or read it (hmmm) but someone said, when we tell a person yes, and we really want to say no, we are lying to them. I’m paraphrasing but that was the gist of it.
What are some ways you say ‘no’?
I can be extreme.
All or nothing.
All in - ‘I am quitting this or that for 30 days’. These days I am working on being less extreme and doing things more micro / tiny habits.
Listen, I don’t want my ‘extreme ways’ to go completely away but I want more of this.
EXTREME ME: I need to set aside 6 hours to knock out my closet - then watch the days, Weeks, MONTHS go by because I don’t make time for a 6 hours of closet organizing.
MICRO/TINY HABIT ME: I decide to spend 30 minutes a day over the next couple weeks and watch the closet slowly come together.
Do you practice this?
THAT’S IT Y’ALL - see ya here next Sunday at 3:33p CT
I’m always open to dialogue and feedback.
