“RESTORE YOUR SUPERPOWER” - Queen Afua
I have always been a fan of ‘listen to your intuition’/ ‘listen to your gut’ but I would still get caught up talking it through with someone else or asking others for advice.
In 2019 after hearing Laura Day on a Goop podcast I started writing things down as a way to track what my intuition was telling me.
If something popped into my head - that made me say hmmm, I’d make note of it. Then if/when the thing happened, I’d make note of that too so I could:
(1) see the connection and
(2) continue to build a greater trust in my own intuition
Some years back I heard Wayne Dyer suggest: right before falling asleep, jot down a question you have for God/Universe and when you wake up jot down all the things that come to your head around that question.
I practiced that for a while too + I started thinking of my question and going on a silent walk (no podcasts, audible, music, etc…).
Recently, I heard Queen Afua talk about her latest book ‘Impeccable Listening’. She says that our intuition is our superpower.
We ask and we will get answers but we must learn to listen + ACT when we hear. She says it is a practice / a lifestyle.
Her suggestion seems to combine what I learned from Laura Day & Wayne Dyer and it really speaks to me.
Queen Afua says don’t start with the big questions (should I move to this country, should I marry this person, etc…) because we risk only hearing what we want to do versus what our intuition is really saying.
She also says the best hours are 4-6a - don’t use an alarm.
I understand this may sound woo-woo but I absolutely believe we have the answers inside of us.
There is so much noise that we don’t hear it - this is why I love the idea of early mornings because it is so still and quiet
OR
We have lost trust in our own intuition - this is where documenting will be useful because we can look back and see how it happened.

Is this something you’re into?
Have you ever been mad at yourself for not listening?
Has something happened and you thought: I KNEW IT!?
I am looking forward to making this a lifestyle / a daily practice. Queen Afua says it becomes a constant, ask questions, listen for answers, REPEAT.
THAT’S IT Y’ALL - see ya here next Sunday at 3p CT
