Things discovered in real life and online that you may like too.
3 THINGS I’VE LEARNED THAT HELPED ME GET STARTED
ADD SOMETHING HEALTHY to eat versus focusing on what you need to stop eating. Maybe it’s a mind game but regardless it is less of a hurdle to think about what you’d like to add versus what you ‘should’ stop.
This week add a healthier option to your diet (fruit, side salad, nuts, etc etc)
FOCUSED 5 MINUTES - you’d be amazed at what you can get done in 5 minutes.
We make things daunting in our head and so often it takes far less time than we’ve built up in our mind
Set a timer for 5 minutes, put phone on silent/focus mode, and knock out a task (sort the mail, fold the laundry, unload the dishwasher, craft the email, pay the bill, etc etc)
PUT IT ON YOUR CALENDAR - We have no problem putting commitments to others on our calendar but what about commitments to ourselves.
add your workout time
add your journal time
add mindfulness class you’ve been wanting to take
on and on….
Otherwise, when will it happen? We won’t find the time, we will just keep putting it off.
Add it to the calendar and treat it like you would an appointment with your manager, your client, your child’s pediatrician, etc etc…
