as promised here’s part 2
This happened FIVE YEARS AGO TODAY!
After 28 years of searching Ancestry DNA matched me with my Uncle and helped me find my father.
He grew up in SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA.
It was a huge missing piece and now I have been able to put so many pieces together.
I’ve heard other adopted kids say they also wondered: ‘WHO AM I LIKE!?’
I missed meeting him by a few years - he never knew about me.
I wanted to know everything about him - his handwriting, his voice, his favorite foods, his music choices, EVERYTHING!!!
Family and friends have been filling in the gaps for me - my Uncle had a video where my father is saying ONE SENTENCE and I have listened to that SOOOO MANY TIMES!
THE SUGGESTION: If you’re on this journey keep going! KEEP GOING!
Thanks for allowing me to be dramatic with the two parts!
I was limited trying to cram TWENTY EIGHT YEARS into a 2 minute story + Juneteenth was also the anniversary date of finding out!
Until Sunday….
Hugs & LOVE Y’all,
Sally Mc
I am so happy for you. I can't imagine what you felt all those years,
