I take so many pictures on walks, drives, visits, etc…. I discover cool things (opinion I know) that I don’t wanna just keep to myself. Soooo here we are.
I was invited to a wellness open house (face readings, acupuncture, numerology, all the woo woo).
This fruit tray was a small portion of all the snacks. The grapes were so big (and delicious) and the blackberries were so sweet - I purchased some this week to have at home.
Delish!
Down memory lane….
My brother works for the Boys & Girls Club and he was up for an award. That made me pull out pictures from the years I spent working for the same organization. That is where I met my ‘working with them kids’ addiction. I was hooked!
I was 21 or 22. No way this was 30+ years ago. NO! WAY!
Wichita Falls, Texas bound…..
I love him SO! He had no idea I was gonna make the luncheon. So proud of him!
Been researching and trying to track down Billy Thomas.
You can get an idea of the man he is HERE.
Finally letting go of the ‘investment shoe’ that I planned to have forever.
Why!? Because it HURTS!
Fo…. (see below)
I am currently working in a coffee shop and the lady sitting beside me tapped me to show me something (it was sad breaking news - a reminder of why I keep those notifications OFF). We started talking and Talking and TALKING. It was a beautiful encounter. I will probably write something about it in the future. This newsletter now delayed for a real life moment. She was truly lovely!
*now it’s the next day and I am finishing up from home - I have no ideas what I was gonna say with the ‘Fo’ above.
so THE SHOES….
When I tried them on at the store, perfection. BUT! after wearing them, no. And as far as I know, you can’t return them (you know what, I am going to call them and see if I could have - too late now because too much time has passed but I still want to know).
Bottom line, I am forgiving myself for this mistake and counting the money spent as ‘life’s tuition' (a phrase I learned from an ex that he learned from his ex mother-in-law).
I listed them on Facebook Marketplace. If they don’t sell there, eBay.
Has this happened to you before? What was the item? Did you sell it or gift it?
I’ve been posting coffee pictures/videos for yearssssss. I feel like people would be surprised at the time I spend finding the music and trying to make the coffee post feel right.
Basically, if I could have a coffee shop + bookstore + human library + studio for living above it (or beside / connected), I’d feel like I surpassed Oprah in wealth!
If you’re into it, I post a coffee story most days in my Instagram stories.
LISTEN! Anytime I have a knot that needs to be worked out, I am pulling this out! Period. End of discussion.
You put it on a wall, press up against it, find the spot, and BOOM! Or you can lie down on a yoga mat.
I had a knot this week and snapped a photo to share with a friend.
I have THIS ONE and THIS ONE stays in my backpack.
What’s your remedy for working out knots? If you have a massage subscription or a person on deck, I’m jealous!
Went to a friend’s birthday gathering so I took to Pinterest for artwork I can attempt to make and quotes that inspire me her!
She’s an educator (YAY). So after a week of giving her all to the littles, she likes to stay home, on the sofa, with a good book. Therefore, that first quote was a definite!
I was on a walk and sometimes I like to ‘cut through’ the museum.
sidenote: I feel like ‘cut through’ is language from kids who walked to school and/or the corner store. No!?
I knew this exhibit - When You See Me: Visibility in Contemporary Art/History - was winding down but I thought Easter weekend was the last weekend. Nope. It was this very day (13 April). Look at the Universe!
I got a ticket and decided to take it all in! It was FANTASTIC! I will post more about it in a future newsletter(s).
Here’s a peak….
Simone Leigh’s instagram is HERE.
Are you familiar with her work? I was not.
What cool pictures are in your phone that you haven’t shared?
Did you capture a beautiful candid moment?
Consider printing it out and using it as a postcard or text it to a friend to share the joy of the moment.
ORRRRR you can put it in the comments and share with us!
THANKS SO MUCH for being here.
Hugs, Love, and Gratitude Y’all!

Boy HAS it happened to me! If we're talking about the investment shoes (clothes), that is. I have purchased more pairs of shoes (and pants, shorts, dresses and tops) that fit oh-so-well in the store and the day I wore them I vowed never to do so again. Most of the time it's too late for me to return them because I'm not usually shopping for something I'm gonna do right away. But mercy me! Tight uncomfortable shoes are the absolute worst. I heard once that you should only shoe shop at the end of the day when your feet have expanded for the day. Well, that lead to buying shoes that were too big and that's a story for another day. Oh yes, it has happened.
So many pictures in my phone.
If you were to look at them, you would see the people and animals I love.
Maybe I will share some of them on my IG account????
Or should I use my Substack account to share them?????
Hmmmm
