Discovering hidden Black art in Fort Worth, Texas
Saturday, 17 August 2024 at 1:04p I was driving down E. Rosedale Avenue in Fort Worth, Texas. I was leaving the homegoing service of someone I used to work with on that very street in the 90s so my emotions were already fragile.
As I was driving and taking in all the neighborhood changes, I spotted this…..
I was like, wait. WHAT!?!? Huh!? What is this!?
So I busted a u-turn to take a closer look.
This is the ‘East Rosedale Monument Project’ by Christopher Blay He has been working on this project for over a decade.
He used materials from an actual bus from the 1970s. Incredible!
I was able to read a few articles about Mr. Blay but I am looking forward to learning more about him and his art.
Did you know about this?
Are you familiar with Christopher Blay and his art?
