Check out this video.
I believe we get more done when we focus on a single task. There is some science to this as well.
Cal Newport is one expert who talks about deep work and slow productivity . He says we have an ‘epidemic of busyness’ and it is causing us stress, burnout, and the inability to do more quality work.
TRY IT:
1. Decide on one project you want to work on (e.g. paper due for school, organizing garage, input client notes, etc etc…)
2. Turn off all distractions (phone on silent/DND, social media off, etc etc)
3. Set time for ONE HOUR
4. Get to work on that SINGLE TASK
See if you get more done in that one hour of complete focus versus if you allowed distractions.
After the one hour try taking a 10-15 minute break (grab a bite, get some fresh air, do some downward dogs, etc etc…)
How do you normally go about getting your important work done?
Would you like to hear more about this?
Would you join a Zoom for accountability - ‘virtual study hall’ | ‘virtual coffee shop’?
Let’s chat in the comments!
See ya here next Sunday at 3:33p CT
Hugs, Love, and Gratitude Y’all!
