6 FOODS I LOVED BUT NO LONGER EAT
"My weaknesses have always been food and men - in that order." - Dolly Parton
My mom’s red beans and hot water cornbread - OhMyGOD!!!
Once I left home, this was the thing I wanted when I went back to visit!
I was gonna add sugar and I wanted my pieces of hot water cornbread thinner than the others (crunchier). I mostly had the ‘liquor’ (the broth).
I haven’t had this meal in yearsssss.
Homemade buttery mashed potatoes with gravy - Do I really need to say anything else!
ALEXA! play ‘Southern Girl’ by Maze
TWIX - I eat all the gooey chocolate and caramel and THEN the cookie. There is no other way. We ain’t discussing it! I’m right.
what’s your favorite candy bar?
Mi Cocina Nachos Mi Tierra (hold the meat) - These were sent by the devil! I was addicted to these things!
Cheesy, spicy, crunchy, DELICIOUS!
and. AND. AAAAND Mi Cocina has the best guacamole ever that comes with em. Jesus be a fence!
2-3 years ago I gave up corn and corn products + I eventually gave up dairy so these are a thing of the past (at least for now - I think for good - but never say never)
Chick-Fil-A - we can all agree they sprinkle a little crack on that crust. They close on Sundays to make up for the crack they push all week.
I’m kidding of course but it is sooooo good! What is it!?!?!?
*taps veins as I remember all the sandwiches and 2 strip kids’ meals I ate.
My chicken spaghetti - This was one of my most requested meals to make or bring to a gathering.
Thinking about it now makes me hungry.
I could make it and eat leftovers for 2-3 days. The cheesier. The better.
I’d always make cornbread to go with it. To me, it was the perfect meal.
I gave this recipe to one of my kids/mentees so she could quit asking me to make it. Now she makes it for her kids. - ‘Teach a man to….’
