Having a minimalist [majority black] wardrobe has been one of my best decisions.
SAVES SHOPPING TIME - I can quickly walk in a store and scan it.
For example, if I am looking for black pants: I scan the store, flip the hangers, find some, try ‘em on or leave. No need to browse the whole store.
If it’s online, I put the filter on BLACK, hit search and voilà!
SAVES LAUNDRY TIME - minimal sorting!
I basically have black clothes and linen/towels.
I turn them inside out + wash on cold setting + hang to dry and that’s that.
SAVES ON DECISION TIME - I already know I am wearing black.
This already goes with THIS. I also tend to lean into uniform dressing which makes the decision even easier.
3 black gap tees please
3 black long sleeve Alo tops
3 black FP Movement sweatshirts
so on and so on
I can repeat looks and no one really knows - not that people care or pay attention anyway.
*siblings are the exception. “Sis. I keep seeing you wear those sneakers and they are so ugly to me!” - my brother
Style is still very important to me so I don’t feel like I sacrifice it by wearing all black (up for debate)
Often I add color with accessories (shoes, purses, jewelry)
I have a few gray + army green items too (partly because FP Movement calls it black and lately I have been a walking ad for them because I love their stuff)
How much black are you wearing?
How do you feel when you wear all black?
If you wore one color all the time would it be black? If not, what color?
